Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 光電工程系研究所 === 101 === The purpose of this thesis research is to experimentally investigate if the transient current surge occurred in operating active-matrix organic light-emitting displays (AMOLED) can be suppressed by applying either analog or digital filter circuitries. The transient current surge may cause higher power loss and other issues in operating AMOLED. The experiments of suppressing current surge were conducted by comparing current and voltage waveforms with applying filter circuitries to those without filters as control. The root-mean-square (RMS) power in operating AMOLED with and without applying filter circuitries were also compared each other for quantitative analysis. Our experimental results reveal that the current-surge peak and RMS power are reduced in 44.4% and 74.6% average respectively after applying analog filter circuitry. The current-surge peak and RMS power are reduced in 29.4% and 84.8% average respectively after applying digital filter circuitry.
