Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 101 === This study investigates the stripping process of ammonia using a rotating packed bed (RPB) in which the gas-liquid mass transfer can be enhanced. This study investigates the effect of gas flow rate (QG), liquid flow rate (QL), rotational speed (ω) and stripping temperature (T) on the stripping ratio and overall liquid phase mass transfer coefficient (KLa). The experimental results showed that the KLa would increase with an increase of the QG, QL, ω and T with the order of QG > T ~ QL > ω. On the other hand, the stripping ratio of ammonia would increase with an increase of the QG, ω and T while the effect of QL may be positive or negative. The maximum percentage of stripping ratio of ammonia was 81.4% when the QG, QL, ω, and T were 40 L/min, 0.025 L/min, 1200 rpm, 40 °C, respectively. The height of transfer unit (HL) in the RPB is found 2.56 to 16.6 cm. Finally, a regression equation is proposed to predict the KLa for the stripping process of ammonia in the RPB.
