Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 音樂系 === 101 === Richard Strauss (1864-1949), was one of the leading composers during the late Romantic period till the early 20th century. His major contribution to the genre of Lieder was his development of songs with orchestral accompaniment. He cultivated his writing styles in his works of art songs by combining the features from Classical and Romantic era. To name a few, a multiple-layer texture in the accompaniment, colorful orchestration and a systematic exploitation of musical motives are among his signatures.
This research includes the author’s comprehension of the related references, a detailed analysis on each song from Op. 68, and some suggestions from the author regarding the performance and the interpretation of this significant work.
