It is essential to explore the origin af this pressure and its correlation factor to ensure improvement of the employees' physical and mental health . In the long run, the goal is to achieve apositive working environment . The purpose of this study, therefore, is first to explore the stress of faculties in hospitals and to find a solution to these. Secondly , this study is done to determine the difference between the origins of stress in different departments of the hospital. Three hundred voluntarily participants from different backgrounds and different departments participated in this survey. Cross-section surveys and Occupational Stress Indicators were both research tools.Questionnaires were sent to these 300 volunteers in the hospital and 283 valid responses were returned. The percentage of this outcome was determined by the difference in numbers in each department. Results indicated that stress comes mostly from personal responsibilities and workloads. Interestingly, females are more affected than males . Another finding is that the people in the 23 - 32 age range as well as Master degree graduates felt more stressful than their counterparts. Senior staff working at the hospital for periods between 11 - 15 years also felt tremendous stress and stress in the administration department is rated as the highest. Females and people between 38 and 42 years take the stress-coping strategy more seriously than males and those of other ages. In the administration department support coping strategies are more constantly implemented than control coping strategies. Generally, support coping strategies are preferred . In addition to this research, the effect that "personal responsibility" and "workload' have on stress is also looked into. This study will assist in providing a solution to stress problems in hospitals. It is essential that the executives and managers timely provide support and encouragement to the faculty, which could, in the long run, reduce the stress toll on hospital workers . A positive, less stressful environment could enrich the worker's body and mind. Lan,Shou-Ren 藍守仁 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 85 zh-TW |
