碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 國際企業學系碩士在職專班 === 101 === Traffic is the mother of Industries, and only a complete and secure and convenient transportation network would enable Taichung city to become a world-class city. The establishment of Transport modes with low-carbon and green energy and the intelligent development not only enable Taichung traffic to reach all-round, but also reduce air pollution, thus toward the international city development. The population of Taichung City and the number of vehicles has been increasing in recent years. However, the amount of increasing number in population growth and the number of expanding road area are being unproportional, and it caused traffic congestion problems. Thus, accelerating the construction of a fast and stable public transport system is imperative. However, before the rapid transit system is completed, improving bus service quality should be a priority. Studying and planning the feasibility of establishing the express bus is to improve the bus operating speed, and in order to develop the potential demands for public transit systems to foster future transit customers. Therefore, this study used a comparative analysis, comparing domestic and foreign bus rapid transit systems, summarizing the main elements of a bus rapid transit system are vehicles, stations, driveways, routes, bus services, ITS, toll systems, and factories. Lastly, I hope this study could offer suggestions for future Taichung Express Bus in making strategies.
