Description
Summary:碩士 === 大華科技大學 === 機電研究所 === 101 === There are more than 3.4 million households using liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in Taiwan, much more than the households using natural gas. The residuals of LPG in the bottom of cylinder have significant impact on the interests of consumers. This paper presents a "study on volatilization of the residuals in the bottom of LPG cylinder", featured with a belt around the bottom of cylinder. The belt is secured by the magnets on both ends of it. There is a heating element, which is connected to the power supply over power wires, in the belt. When the level of LPG reaches below a set point, the pressure drops and the residual liquid in the cylinder cannot be supplied to the stove for burning. The pressure rises when the heating element is powered on, which facilitates the full volatilization of residuals, so there is no residual liquid in the cylinder. The result of study shows that the average temperature (Tm) is increased to 43.9℃ from 25.2℃, and the pressure to 10.23 kg/cm2 from 6 kg/cm2, up to 70.5%. The tests prove that the invention, the heating element, described in this paper, has remarkable impact on the pressure boosting in the LPG cylinder, and is very useful for solving the problem of gas residuals.
