We study the case of Typhoon Morakot impacting Taiwan on August 8, 2009. The main purpose of this research aims to investigate the service experience of Tzu Chi Foundation of Kaohsiung educational team and in the process of educational aid, Tzu Chi volunteers and recipients of the service after the aid project of growth and change and the effect of aid to education. The method is to directly observe the company with the tutor partners of the Tzu Chi Foundation of Kaohsiung educational function team in Shanlin Da Ai. 29 interviewees includes 13 teachers of Tzu Chi Teacher Association, 8 Tzu chi collegiate youth and 8 Tzu chi educational volunteers. The following conclusions are summarized through interviews and field observations. 1. Educational aid is to give different assistances according to the different stages and needs of assistance recipients. 2. Tzu Chi volunteers encounter different problems in the different stages. In the emergency stage, it is dominated by volunteer's shortage of manpower .In mid-term stage, it is unable to control the emotions and character of the suffering children. In long-term stage, they need to constantly adjust the modes of teaching and counseling owing to the poor motivation of the students and the change of teaching areas. 3. When Tzu Chi volunteers face frustration, they can hold the belief of the "care and moral virtue" and overcome difficulties with love . 4. Tzu Chi volunteers take collective companionship and individual counseling as the aid strategies of education. 5. Master Cheng Yen and the leader of educational team is the driving force of the insistence at education volunteers. 6. In the course of educational aid, all Tzu Chi volunteers grow up and have qualitative change. Tzu Chi teachers learn to teach students according to their abilities and enhance teaching and multicultural literacy. Tzu chi collegiate youth also learn teaching skills and ways of dealing with people and see blessings from the suffering. As a Buddhist charity group, Tzu Chi educational volunteers hold Master Cheng Yen's belief "Teacher's Heart, Bodhisattva's Heart" to face the students of different religions and ethnic groups. With the long-term companionship, Tzu Chi volunteers try to comfort the emotion and spirit of the suffering students in order to make they feel at ease. Tzu Chi Foundation is the civic group with the most mobilization capability among all the charity organizations in Taiwan. From the program of disaster educational aid, we can see the feelings of compassion by Tzu Chi educational volunteers and the practical action of "Sutra of Innumerable Meanings".
