Summary:碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to understand the relationship among the leisure activities participation, leisure benefits and body image of fifth and sixth grade students. The study used the method questionnaire survey. The samples of the study were 250 fifth and sixth graders selected from one elementary school in Tainan city. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis, independent t-test, single factor variance analysis and Pearson accumulated rate correlation analysis. The main results were as follows: 1. The most popular leisure activities for the fifth and sixth graders were running, hiking, walking;reading;internet exploring;playing ball games; reading comics, magazines, novels. The lowest frequency of leisure activities were fishing; calligraphy; kite-flying; arts sports; participating in community activities. The highest frequency of participation was" leisure related activities"; while the lowest one was "recreation related activities”.. 2. Significant differences of leisure activities participation of fifth and sixth grade students were found under diverse gender, grade and social and economic status. 3. Significant differences of leisure benefits of fifth and sixth grade students were found under diverse gender, grade and social and economic status. 4. Significant differences of body image of fifth and sixth grade students were found under diverse gender, grade and social and economic status. 5. There was a significant positive correlation between leisure activities participation and leisure benefits. 6. There was a significant positive correlation between leisure activities participation and body image. 7. There was a significant positive correlation between leisure benefits and body image.
