Summary: | 碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 多媒體與電腦娛樂科學系 === 101 === Recently, online games have gradually become well-developed, and online game companies emerge rapidly. The value of the research and development crew should not be underestimated by companies while they compete for the market of online games. Only by strengthen the cooperative sense of the whole crew can a company bring up its performance of production. This research aims to investigate from the view of an art designer (a) the organizational structures and the management models used in game industry; (b) the differences between various game art production procedures and their pros and cons; (c) the game art designers’ understanding and attitudes towards company management and the factors affecting work performance. This research uses methods of literature review and case study to understand the real conditions in the industry, and constitutes a questionnaire on organizational performance based on interviews of experts and literature materials. Methods of factor analysis, independent samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA are used on the analysis of various art designers’ different perceptions of organizational performances. The result of this research shows that the organizational performance depends significantly on organizational structures, the art designers are easily affected by different organizational structures and will have different feelings, and the work experiences of art designers will affect the organizational performance appraisal. Finally, basing on the results of this research, concrete suggestions on organizational structures can be proposed to the industry in order to improve the organizational performance; advices on course planning and teaching can be given to the academy in order to link the education to the real practice in the industry.
