Case study in Vietnam Nguyen Hong Hai 阮鴻海 碩士 南台科技大學 企業管理系 101 In the progress of development of each country, it is concerned that how the economy grows strong and stable annually. However, along with the process of high economic growth rate, many problems of the emerging countries are facing which become more urgent, such as: poverty, the gap between richer and poorer, and inequality.... Those will entail consequences: the traditional values eroded over time, increasingly popular social evils ... and then cause troublesome in development. Therefore, the requirements of sustainable in development as set out requirements in poverty alleviation, social justice and progress. In case of Vietnam, this study will analysis the results of economic growth in the period mainly from 2005 -2010 through economic indicators: GDP growth, labor productivity, total factor productivity; relationship between economic growth and poverty reduction; as well as social justice. And the result has been demonstrated that: Firstly, the total factor productivity change will affect directly to the increase or reduce GDP. Secondly, if the nation have a good policy then GDP increase will reduce ratio of poverty and inequality. But the rate of decline of inequality is always lower than the rate of decline of the percentage of poor households. Thereby, help policy makers and managers draw the achievements and weaknesses in order to make the appropriate policies in the future to achieve the goal of "sustainable development".
