Description
Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 資訊傳播學研究所(含碩專班) === 101 === Abstract This research investigates the effect of interface technology on student user satisfaction when they use the English interactive CD-ROM. Using an English interactive CD-ROM published by a language educator as an example, we analyze the pros and cons of its interface design; the study result produces the contributions in the product design and development of English interactive CD-ROM. The two dimensions, the user interface design principles and the user satisfaction of English interactive CD-ROM, are the focuses of this study. In terms of interface design, quantitative method through the use of survey is conducted to find out whether the user interface design principles and the interface usability influence the user satisfaction. The survey respondents are the students who have had experience with the similar type of English interactive CD-ROM. We try to find out whether the established design principles are validated in the actual practices. A total of 448 questionnaires were distributed and 400 usable responses were obtained. Factor analysis, item analysis, population variance, and regression analysis were then conducted to analyze the collected data. The result of the analysis shows that, some respondents display certain level of identification and satisfaction with the interface design principles, interface usability, and user satisfaction provided by the language educator; the dimensions are positively correlated. For some students with different usage experience and different user habit, the interface design principles, interface usability, and user satisfaction do not display strong significance.
