Summary: | 碩士 === 世新大學 === 資訊管理學研究所(含碩專班) === 101 === With the rapid growth of Internet and development of Smartphone, the concept of cloud service and the related products have become the most popular topic in the information industry currently. Although the cloud service possesses many advantages in enterprise management, not all enterprises are suitable to introducing cloud software, nor all enterprises could save costs and expenses as expected after introducing the cloud software. The reason is that at the same time of pursuing the cost efficiency, the enterprise will also face the information security, outsourcing manufactures management, control of operational quality, and even the problem of information strategy.
Among three types of service mode for cloud computing (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), SaaS takes up the largest market scale. However, the previous literatures didn’t specially explore the key decision factors of enterprise introducing SaaS. Therefore, this study aims to explore the key decision factors of enterprises in Taiwan introducing SaaS, and further to compare whether these key factors vary with enterprise size and industrial pattern or not, so as to provide reference for decision evaluation of the enterprises that intend to adopt SaaS, and to provide strategic reference for the suppliers in product development and market development, so as to help them further position target markets and target customer groups. This study is conducted by means of expert interview and enterprise questionnaire survey, and employs Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to analyze the priorities of all evaluation indicators and attributes among the respondents.
The study results show, when the enterprises make the decision of whether to introduce SaaS or not, they mostly attach importance to whether the information service quality will be improved and the application rate of information technology will be accelerated after introducing SaaS. For example, in the comparison among enterprises of different sizes, the enterprises with larger capital amount relatively focus on the financial benefits brought by SaaS adopted, while those with smaller capital amount tend to consider issues strategically. Besides, for all industries, “protection of enterprise data and intellectual properties” is the issue that is most concerned by the enterprises when evaluating whether to adopt SaaS or not, which is followed by “information/technological cost saving and financial benefits”.
