If a person is alone, this condition might be thought as a worse idea. Solitude and loneliness are the examples. People might blame on or concern about a person, who is lonely or solitary because they think solitude might bring an unnecessary risk, especially in teenagers. The depressed adolescents are simple to get everyone’s attention while alone. However, most parents and teachers view solitude as rebellion without understanding the reasons behind those depressed teenagers that cause them to turn rebellious. In order to clarify their solitary experiences, this study will concentrate on interviews in the depressed adolescents. This study points out that the solitary behavior occurs when depressed teenagers encounter difficulties, and therefore they reflect it on their behavior. Furthermore, it is proved that solitude is not a worse condition that those discouraged adolescents should avoid it. If teenagers view the differences between themselves and others while they are improving self-concept and looking for the role-identity, they are likely to put themselves on a conflict between being themselves and conforming other’s expectations. Therefore, the discouraged adolescents choose solitude as a shelter to protect them from not being hurt for their self-respect. This academic study will focus on the research of depressed adolescents that being solitary and further discuss the reasons behind this issue in order to help consult future relative cases. 錢淑芬 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 123 zh-TW
