In Taiwan, aesthetic and creativity are top issues in policy promotion of “Cultural and Creativity Industry “as well as in education. Aesthetic education is filled with creativity. We can use creativity cultivate aesthetic. Aesthetic education enhances the diversity of culture. The artist training is not the goal of aesthetic education but an inspiration of creativity to students. The creative design and affectivity promote the value and, further, built Taiwan creatively. The purpose of this study was to design a creative thinking teaching program which was based on aesthetic education to teach 2nd graders in elementary school, and explore the helpful of children creativity. This study used a quasi-experimental design. Two classes of 2nd grader of elementary school were choosing. One class was the experimental group, and the other class was control group. The experimental group had a 40-minutes class once a week. The courses were last 13 weeks. The main assessment tool was "Torrance language, graphic Creativity Test". The data were anlysised by SPSS 18.0, and supplemented by observation, teaching and documentation collections. The major findings of this study were as follows: I. Children who participated in the curriculum had changes in self-confidence, feelings, and life applications through learning, experiencing and perception. They opened their individual sensory instincts and got pleasure and satisfaction of aesthetic experience. II. About the aesthetic education, the teaching strategies of creative thinking was not only stimulated children’s learning motivation and passion, but also made elaboration. III. 2nd graders in elementary school were enjoyed in creative thinking curriculum with aesthetic learning. The class teacher also had a positive attitude to the curriculum. According to the aforementioned findings, the recommendations for the further studies, creative thinking teaching program and practical implementation were made.
