The purpose of this research is to understand employment situation of female single parents, the impact of the employment empowerment group on employment motivation and employment planning of female single parents. And in the view of resilience, the researcher is trying to find the way to enhance the employment motivation of female single parents. This study was used qualitative research and purposive sampling and seven respondents were found in depth interviews for data collection. The findings are as follows: 1.In terms of employment experiences, female single parents’ reasons for leaving the workplaces are included as marriage and giving birth to baby, company closures, employers’ picky attitude ; the types of their work are included as technicians and associate professionals, office work support staff, service and sell staff and their own business. 2.In respect of employment situation, female single parents’ reasons of unemployment are included as physical health factors, psychological and emotional factors, the lack of employment information, social discrimination, job constantly frustrated; re-employment limitations are included as old age, low education, heavy family responsibilities, insufficient identity of single parents and debt. 3.The impacts of female single parents participating in the employment empowerment group on re-employment are included as enhancing employment information, confirming employment orientation, linking resources of the vocational training, promoting employment conditions, developing second career, enhancing the employment motivation; the impacts on life are included as peer support and closer parent-child relationships. 4.Based on other scholars , the resiliences of female single parents participating on employment empowerment groups are includeded six inherent protective factors as positive values, the expeactations for futures and life goals, self-identity, social skills, coping with problems positively, self-awareness and five external protective factors as family support, social welfare units, religious beliefs, peer support, employment empowerment group’s teacher.
