| Summary: | 碩士 === 實踐大學 === 時尚與媒體設計研究所 === 101 === With the advance of information technology, the popularity of the internet, and the convergent of media, computers have become omnipotent medium application. Especially when those devices turn more portable and efficient, they become new media with great economic value.
Varied from personal computers, portable devices, such as mobile phones and tablets, are extremely slim and light in appearance, but their wide-screen touch panels attract users with the vivid and semi-real content displayed. In other word, they connect users and virtual world much closely. “To touch” enables users to manipulate the virtual content which can’t be realized in physical world. Texting, sharing information and tagging where you are strengthen ones’ existence on the internet. Synchronization between each software and device further proves human’s dual existence in both virtual and physical world.
My thesis starts from the so-call “smartphone addicts,” discussing the modification of new social structure and meaning behind the development of technology. Especially, I focus on the usage of the internet and the syndrome of information anxiety in my work, turning my interpretation into installations and creation.
