Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to investigate whether pain assessment and disposal operations have any effect on postoperative pain relief and pain management satisfaction. The study involved 20 patients in surgical intensive care unit of a teaching hospital in central Taiwan. The research data was collected between November 2012 and February 2013. An “Appraisal Record Sheet” for pain assessment and disposal of clinical observation was designed to control the pain assessment and disposal operations observation and to assess the integrity of medical and nursing staff implementation; this is followed by interviews with the patients, in order to understand the "extent" and "pain management satisfaction" as a basis for measuring the effectiveness of pain management. Based on the results, the study also made concrete proposals to the hospital management and health care staff in postoperative pain management and care services.
