It is mainly due to the factors of social environment, disability status, as well as incapability in physical strength. Therefore, there are near 90% unemployed disabled who desperately need employment service assistance.Supported employment service is currently the major mode to assist the disabled to be employed. The family, employer, and the supported employment service worker are important members for the disabled to accept supported employment service as for stable employment. In all, the supported employment service worker’s professional capability is a very important and influential factor for the disabled to a successful employment.The purpose of research is to analyze stability of the employed disabled, their characteristics in family support and employer attitude, the role that the supported employment service worker plays and how the specialist runs the professional service among the disabled, family and employer, and to summarize the professional service modes in order to solve the predicament that the supported employment service worker is facing. The research includes profound interviews among nine supported employment service workers in Taichung and analysis of twenty-two stable employment cases. I.The research found, 1. The s supported employment service worker’s professional capability is the very important factor to stable employment. With the specialist’s professional service involvement helps those cases and families that are not qualified in the stable employment conditions acquire successful employment. 2. In the characteristics of stable employment cases, the working attitude is deemed the most important one by supported employment service workers. 3. The supported employment service, in the family education function, helps parents recognize and agree the stable employed disabled. 4. The supported employed employment influences the employers and corrects the stereotype and discrimination in the public or workplace. 5. Organization attributes and employment service worker’s credible reputation and experience help the employment opportunity development. 6. Among those stable employed disabled, the females and the aged are more subconsciously favored and supported in the workplace. 7. The employment mode of individual placement receives more difficult to build peer supportive groups. It can be considered in small group placement mode to increase the sense of belonging and human interaction. II. Suggestions to future development, 1. To connect the case management and service resources in the disable resources center and to provide the individuals leisure activities, family support and other related services. 2. To provide positively promotional information about the disabled employment to change employers’ recognition. 3. To build cross team work, including the professionals involvement in case management, physical therapy (rehabilitation), medical treatment, assistive device, and so on. 4. To draw up the employment service plan together by the disabled, family, and employer and employment service s worker to build up the community support network. 5. To enhance supported employment service worker’s professional service, and to provide a professional supervising system.
