For foreign investors or foreign salespersons stationed in Taiwan, stock jargon is the focus of learning Chinese. The global Chinese socio-economic trade transactions is booming and stock market is growing; therefore, the demand for business Chinese course is increasing. In this study, it starts from learning the everyday vocabulary in Chinese related to the daily life of the learners through the word restructuring for a new meaning glossary, Chinese coinage, and Chinese word formation to understand Chinese word structure. Learners will then be able to grasp the use of professional Chinese in learning everyday Chinese, reduce the overall burden of learning and shorten learning time, integrate rapidly into the workplace, use the target language to communicate, learn the related vocabularies more efficiently, and successfully reach the purpose of communication in the professional field. The comparative study between Practical Audio-Visual Chinese 2nd Edition 1, 2 regarding stock jargon and basic everyday Chinese and Far East Everyday Chinese Book I, Book II (A), Book II (B) in this study is with the “Class I stock jargon – Class I core vocabulary” resulted including 95 vocabularies and 109 Chinese characters. Based on the results of this study, we have the following recommendations for the pedagogical design: (1) Review the original meaning of the Chinese “word” appeared in the everyday Chinese courses. (2) Teach the original meaning of the Chinese “word” that does not appear in the everyday Chinese courses. (3) Teach the meaning of the “new vocabulary” in Chinese used in the stock market. (4) Introduce the new stock jargon of business Chinese in the professional stock market. Therefore, if the glossary we have developed is used as the basic vocabularies in Chinese for business Chinese learners (stock market) and included in the basic everyday Chinese courses (primary), the learners in the intermediate class will be able to learn professional business Chinese directly in order to shortening the learning time.
