Lu Guimeng, who was a well-known writer in late Tang Dynasty. He had never been any official though he had famous father and ancestors. His suffering figured his personality and had important influence on his writing. Today, when making research on Lu Guimeng, people usually concentrate on exploring Pi-Lu’s friendship, Song-ling antiphony poetry and its position of the poet-school of Pi-Lu in the history of poetry of the Tang-Song period from the perspective of literature. But there are rarely researches on Lu Guimeng’s Fu Literature. The thesis trying to reveal Lu Guimeng Fu’s particular style feature and various function in structure, and explore the characteristics of Fu and its role in the literature history. The whole thesis can be divided into seven major parts.
Chapter I: Brief Introduction.
Chapter II: The literature background of Saotifu（Lisao-style fu）、Wenfu（prose-style fu）、Pianfu（a more-poem like fu）、Lufu（a fu style emphasizing rhymes）in late Tang Dynasty.
Chapter III: The life history of Lu Guimeng and his literature works.
Chapter IV: The analysis of Lu Guimeng Fu’s contents of literary styles.
Chapter V: The analysis of Lu Guimeng Fu’s structures of literary styles.
Chapter VI: The criticism and evaluation of Lu Guimeng’s Fu.
Chapter VII: Conclusions.
Addendum I:The provenances of Lu Guimeng’s Fu.
Addendum II: The outline form of Lu Guimeng’s life.
Addendum III: The forms of Lu Guimeng Fu’s rhymes and sentence structures.
Addendum IV: The original text and punctuation corrections of Lu Guimeng Fu.
The study helps us to understand the characteristics of Lu Guimeng Fu literature, and enable us to explore Lu Guimeng Fu’s formation mechanism and influence on creation. In short, from the study we can see Lu Guimeng Fu’s significant value of literature, criticism, culture and other aspects.
