Patients with this symptom usually remain in a status of confusion, due to they are lacking of self identity. And the phenomenon of stiffness caused by the drugs side effect would also affect their abilities of body movement. Through dance therapy, the imperceptibly “Dance-movement treatment”, could change their mental structures, and help the patients to improve their body movements and rebuild their self identities. This research is a study of 22 Schizophrenia patients from a private long-term irradiation protection center at Longtang, Taiwan. By introducing a 12 weeks dance treatment program to these patients, and applying “Brief Psychiatric Scale”, “Action inspection table”, “The Barthel and Kolmogorov Scales” to evaluate the patients before and after the treatment. By scale analysis, the results are helpful to improve the patient's mental symptoms, as well as to their movement ability. Therefore, the result of this research is hopefully to achieve its contribution by assist relevant organizations to improve the symptoms of all Schizophrenia patients as a reference in the near future.
