Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 體育學系運動教練碩博士班 === 101 === This study aimed to investigate the relation between Taekwondo Poomsae and Kumite techniques, and understand whether skilled Poomsae can enhance the technical ability of Kumite or not; therefore, we can create new meaning of competition ability in training, and make our country proud again in the international Taekwondo Kumite competitions. The objects were eight senior Taekwondo coaches and players, and the author used in-depth interview method, and literature and logical analysis to collect data and summarize. The results found: 1. Although the natures of Poomsae and Kumite are different, their basic techniques are inseparable; the basic techniques that Poomsae covered are the basic native qualities of the sport of Taekwondo. 2. Poomsae’s hand techniques are defense-oriented, but through such training can increase Kumite players’ defense abilities in games and also reduce the incidence of injury rates. 3. Poomsae’s leg techniques are mostly in position kick, fixed spot kick, and quick leg retrieve, which are less related to the practicability and continuity of Kumite; however, the required precise moving lines of Poomsae’s kicking motions can strengthen and adjust the correctness of the kinetic chain of kicking. 4. Poomsae’s demands are comprehensive; therefore, if we practice Poomsae as an auxiliary training of Kumite, it will enhance players’ movement qualities and abilities. In summary, we can rediscover Poomsae, which is not only for the purpose of rising ranks, but also can be seen as an auxiliary training for Kumite practicing; moreover, by understanding the relation between two competition events, we can create the connotations of Kumite. Diverse thinking concepts can provide coaches and players different ideas, and reconstruct training methods and models making contribution to our sport of Taekwondo in major international competitons.
