The designer evaluates and confirms the shortage from the design process and general principles results. Going through the test results by the charts and instructions, it allows the designer knows where the weak parts are that need to be improved. Moreover, the design of the user interface also allows users to reduce the use of learning time, and to further improve the user's use of effects.
In this study, Satoshi Nakagawa made in 2005 Product Performance Program evaluation design universal design self-assessment test items, depending on the characteristics of the software interface settings question items classified as infrastructure projects and complex projects to help designers evaluate design good user interface. The designer asks four designers from the current industry to do the implementation of an interface design checklist, and then make sure the company has issued the software. Furthermore, the designer goes through experimental studies, interviews and other research methods and tests to confirm the self-study design checklist really helps designers achieve allow more users to complete.
The result shows that after interview with the four art interface designers, the test results confirm that the self-study design checklist can really reflect the deficiency of the general principle. However, the self-checklist table still needs to be rectified. If the results in the checklist can provide strong recommendations, it can assist the designers to quickly introduce the universal design concepts into interface design. Therefore, the self-checklists still can be considered as important reference for the designed user interface.
