In order to make more people to enjoy the convenience and security of the automatic parking system, we use a simple way to achieve an automatic parking system. This study proposes a "Guided Automatic Parking System" which contains a microprocessor and sensors used in vehicles. The system can find the parking space and can detect its size by ultrasonic sensors and then automatically park by the guided method. System records the parking operation (turn left, turn right, go forward, go backward) of the vehicle in a manually perfect parking process. Whenever necessary, the system can automatically park the vehicle as the recorded parking operation. Moreover, this method is applicable to different vehicle. As the system is designed for cars, the microprocessors and sensors send and receive messages on CAN BUS. We test the system on an experimental vehicle and then achieve great successes. Because of reduced manufacturing process and easy transplanted characteristics, "Guided Automatic Parking System" is easy to promote.
