Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄大學 === 高階經營管理碩士在職專班(EMBA) === 101 === The main purpose of this research thesis is to analyze and discuss about the development and strategies of the transformation / upgrading of industrial parks in Taiwan, and will take the Nanzih Export Processing Zone ( or NEPZ in abbreviation ) as an instance for case study. We are to determine and to understand how and why the Nanzih Export Processing Zone has successfully recovered ( or revived ) from economic rece- ssion within the period of the past several decades, and had as well managed to turn itself from an inactive, infrastructure-lacking and growth-stagnating lagger, into a very important, highly-developed and internationally-competitive industrial district with advanced technologies, more efficient organizational structures, improved productiveness as well as incredibly huge amount of monthly earnings. In simpler words, it is the NEPZ ’ s strategies, models and relevant activities of transformation / upgrade / renovation that we need to see through and to focus on here in this Master ’ s dissertation report. This research thesis started with the collection and analyses of all kinds of data and information regarding NEPZ ’ s history of development and its situations nowadays, plus that of the entrepreneurial / industrial development strategies from the Kaohsiung City Hall. Other analysis techniques like SWOT and DLR ( documents or literature retro- specting ) are also to be used and be specified / illustrated ( as a very significant part of the main content ) in order to further display the profile, the general situation, the transformation or upgrading procedures, the strategic developments or promotions ( of trades and investments ), and the future prospects of NEPZ. After observing and investigating NEPZ’s situations ( case study, including several influential factors ) using the analyzing techniques / models mentioned above, we hereby would like to present the following conclusions : (1) Industrial Parks like the NEPZ should take advantage efficiently of the current surroundings as well as of the relevant govern- mental policies in order to develop new emerging industries and to stimulate and ameliorate the economic growth of Taiwan ; (2) The organizational structures within the industrial parks, to a certain extent, should be reformed for the enhancement of industrial diversifications ; (3) The industrial parks can act as enterprise zones and should try to construct a better and more merchant-friendly environment for booth recruitments ( i.e. to attract more interested entrepreneurs ) and for the exploitation / development of multi- directions of industrial transformations and upgrades.
