Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 101 === The purpose of this research is to study the behavior of strut loads in a building project in Taipei. The strut load and temperature altogether were measured using thermally matched vibrating wire strain gauges and automatic monitoring system. The way to separate earth load from thermal load induced in the struts due to temperature variation throughout construction from previous studies is also presented here in. A comparison of apparent earth pressure between previous empirical formulas and the earth load separated from measured load is also presented. This research, shows that;the strut load induced by temperature in the longer direction will higher than in the shorter direction. The strut load near the retainting wall will be higher than the strut load near the center of excavation. The difference between the measured load in the strut near the diaphragm wall and the strut near the center of excavation is observed to increase with increase in depth. The results indicate that the stiffness of diaphragm wall and strut will have little effect on the strut load.
