Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 101 === According to the data from FIND, there are almost 7.07 million people who held mobile devices in Taiwan. With the popularization of smart phones and tablets, mobile apps also have a fast growth. Luke Wroblewski proposed the idea of “Mobile First” in 2011, which indicated that in the future, the new personal applications would be designed as mobile apps first. And after mobile apps succeeded, it would be the time to move the application for personal computer. LINE and Angry Birds are great examples of this idea.
There are three kinds of mobile apps development methods: mobile native app, mobile web app, and mobile hybrid app, and each of them has its pros and cons. Nowadays, many mobile apps developers discussed about the difference between mobile native app and mobile web app. However, there is no correct answer on which one is better. Foreign literatures about user experience and mobile apps mainly focus on the interface of mobile apps, and also the user experience evaluation methods; and the literatures in Taiwan mostly discussed the websites’ user experience in the same category. Therefore, this research aims to discover the user experience after using mobile web app in order to find the user’s actual feelings, and figure out the users’ acceptance of mobile web apps.
The research result found that there are still many restrict to mobile web apps, so the efficiency and satisfaction didn’t meet the participants’ expectation. Besides, the mobile web apps developer didn’t consider the feature of mobile devices, so the aesthetics for the participants weren’t that good. Finally, this research proposed five main points for future mobile web app developers, as followed: (1) Users care about the efficiency and satisfaction the most; (2) Users attach importance on the speed of loading web page, and the fluency of operating the application; (3) Users care about whether the functions can solve their needs; (4) Users hope to operate the application in an easy and instinct way; (5) Mobile web apps should be designed to fit the features of mobile devices.
