Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 101 === This study explores into the paradoxes that smart phone users experience and how they would react to such. The underlying question that this study seeks to answer is people's sensemaking towards smart phone. How does this technology affect end users? In addition, what are the implications between technology adaptation and the users' sensemaking. What factors trigger people to stay on using smart phone? This study adopts the method of case study. I had interviewed and analyzed 6 different cases all with different background to seek their experience and sensemaking with smart phone, using convergence to be propositions (and conceptual structure). Analysis shows that when the user is facing the negative effect caused by smart phone in a particular situation, one will start his self-justification mechanism to persuade himself and others to keep using smart phone. Thus, in terms of technology suppliers, they should focus on the software design about their future products, so as to put users in situation. On the other hand, for the users, it is recommended that one should apply the adjusting learning method to lower the Hold-up effects that technological products bring upon.
