Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 美術學系 === 101 === Abstract In this paper, the author’s observation and imagination of the others’ life are expressed through the “Residential Creation and Installation”. As a container of life, the dwelling contains internal cognitions such as dreams and feelings, and reflects different visual appearances. Separating from the concept of decoration that is frequently used by the Taiwanese society, the author starts from the connection between home and individual life, pursues multiple meanings hidden in both substantial and insubstantial space, builds the individual spatial image and points out the psychological satisfaction of the dweller. Moreover, the author puts into practice self-reflections on “visit” to others’ home with the decorations. In terms of the motivation, the author mentions wandering in each dwelling space in a Hopscotch manner, in which, the author describes how each home is understood, constructed and formed. In different occasions, the author experiences the construction site, others’ emotional connections and reflection. Works about dwellings are based on artistic principles such as Gaston Bachelard’s private image and Wabi-sabi aesthetics, which are used to sort out the development of thoughts and space. The author discusses the gradual transformation of the dwelling concept from the material planning to the interpretation of heart. Installations, on the other hand, represent the author’s recent reflections and practice. Lastly, the author hopes to re-illustrate people’s definition of different styles and patterns of the dwelling space and go deeper into creation in the future.
