Taiwan, the country we live in, is a sea-island country composed of many cultures, influenced by many civilizations, which developed this unique culture over the course of time. Reminiscing my childhood memories of praying at a temple with my family, shouldn’t the magnificent diversity of culture present in Taiwan’s temple worship be passed on? Therefore, the author hopes that with this creative study, the children of this modern era will not only indulge in high tech internet games, or foreign animation and comics, but will, from appreciation to gaining insight, understand the existing culture present in Taiwan through reading an art book, and with the aid of art book product range, will emphasize the identification with one’s own culture and pass it on to the next generation. This creative study initiates from the concept of “art book product range development”, then finds the elements shaping the historical background Taiwan’s Fortune Tiger according to documentation, and with a self-woven of Fortune Tiger art book story as an example, combines the plot of the story, the shaping of each character’s appearance, special features and personality into two major forms of creation. The first is the creation of the art book, which the author portrays with ceramics as the medium, by forming the original hand drawn 2D creation into 3D scenery, like the scenes presented in the art book. The second is the designing of the art book product range, analyzing art book product range present in domestic and foreign markets, summarize its pros and cons to designing one’s own Fortune Tiger art book product range - with these two directions of creation to portray the story, one wishes to pass on the present culture, and to give the culture of Taiwan’s Fortune Tiger a new appearance.
