Summary:博士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 政治學研究所 === 101 === This paper tries to explore the causes of different government types in post-Leninist democratic semi-presidential countries, which includes Mongolia, Poland, Taiwan, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania And Croatia. We found that the factors include the power to appoint the premier, and the party system belongs to two-party system or multi-party system. In the last part of the paper, the author suggests some issues for future research , which includes comparative studies of eastern European countries, the development of all post-Leninist political parties ,and ethnic minorities in semi-presidential countries.
