Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 企業管理碩士專班 === 101 === This thesis explores the feasibility of creating a Unified Communication and VoIP API system using open-source solutions. Integration of real time communication services such as voice and video into web based services is also explored as the new WebRTC standard allows for new innovative applications. An easy to use cloud API is the bridge between the developer and the API infrastructure hiding all its complex technical aspects. This brings new business opportunities for companies and developers that before didn’t dare to explore such possibility because the lack of knowledge of how to do it or expecting a high level of investment to build the infrastructure required. An API minimizes all those threats and let developers to focus on the added values expected from its applications. With this thesis, we expect to provide a reference point for unified communication API platforms. We introduce the technical details of the system form a high level point of view focusing more on the user experience and business potential of this implementation. Building voice, video and messaging applications for the web browser have never been so easy before.
