Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 企業管理碩士專班 === 101 === Pilots, facilitators of safe flight operations, require different areas of competencies to maintain the highest safety margins. Unlike other competencies, which can be refined through trainings and the study of manuals, the equally important interpersonal skills are usually enhanced through experience and discussed in CRM courses. Therefore through this study, the author would like to reinforce the importance of captain’s personality effect on cockpit’s communication environment and on first officers’ empowerment by the captain and trust in the captain, thus further having an impact on first officers’ flight performance and flight satisfaction. The relationship of these concepts could act as a reminder and self-check mechanism for the captains-to-be on how to be a better leader in the cockpit.
