碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 工業工程學研究所 === 101 === This research studies capacity and partnership planning problems in a two echelon supply chain. In this two echelon supply chain, the upstream firm provides key components to the downstream firm, and also produces and sells finished products. Therefore, we assume two firms are in their relationship as supplier-customer in terms of key components but also competitors in terms of their finished products. In this upstream firm-based study, we stress the concepts, “conflict of interest” relationships and the combination of two cross aspects of cooperation and competition organized to understand the comprehensive strategy. The proposed dynamic decision model studies the strategic interaction between firms in capacity planning, component pricing and partnership management. Finally our result analysis provides the optimal policy under different environments, and the factors which the firm has to be concerned with during the decision making process are examined, as well. We hope this initial study will be a prelude to enable the development of research in this field.
