Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系教育研究所 === 101 === This study assesses parent-teacher communication, as well as parental satisfaction with teachers in Taitung County elementary schools. Additionally it looks at how different parental demographic variables (i.e. gender and highest level of education) affect the mode and content of parent-teacher communication and parental satisfaction with teachers. Lastly, it analyzes whether parental satisfaction with parent-teacher communication affects parental satisfaction with teachers. Parents from across sixteen Taitung County elementary schools were surveyed. Three hundred and ninety-four (N = 394) out of the 470 surveys administered were considered valid and were included in this study. Descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, multiple regression, etc. were used in the analysis. The preliminary results are as follows: 1. Taitung County elementary school teachers most frequently communicate by phone and by contact book 2. Taitung County elementary school parents favor communication by phone and by contact book 3. Taitung County elementary school parents most frequently communicate with teachers regarding their children
