However, most of them used data collected two decades ago, and which often contained people of age 20-64. Among them, many older-aged samples went through the educational tracking of senior high school and university stages in the early year, which cannot reflect the current social circumstances in Taiwan. The present study used the data of students and parents from the 2nd wave (2003) and the 3rd wave (2005) of the Taiwan Education Panel Survey (TEPS) to conduct the path analysis, and to investigate the inequality of opportunities involved in the influence of student family background on educational tracking at senior high school stage; and then by combining the data of junior students (in the 2005 academic year) and the data of 2006 graduates collected one year after their graduation in the Taiwan Integrated Postsecondary Education Database (TIPED), the influence of student family background through educational tracking at university stage and gender attributes of disciplines on status attainment was investigated. The TEPS and TIPED databases used in this study were nationwide surveys with large sample size and younger respondents. As the respondents were mostly senior high school or university/college students, they might reflect Taiwan Yih-jyh Hwang 黃毅志、陳嘉彌 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 79 zh-TW
