The Research on Taitung County Elementary Higher-grade Students’ Internet Behavior and Addiction

碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系(所) === 101 === Nowadays, increasing opportunities to access the internet even leads the children’s smart phone addiction disorders. The aim of this research is to understand the internet behavior and addiction’s current situation and the correlation between them. The participants in this research were 699 higher-grade students in Taitung county elementary schools. According to the students’ reactions to the “ Internet Behavior Scale” and “Internet Addiction Scale”, several statistical methods, including descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, product-moment correlation and multiple regression were used to test the results. The main findings were as follows: 1.The current situation of the internet behavior and addiction were related-low in Taitung county elementary higher-grade students. 2.Different background variables showed differences of Taitung county elementary higher-grade students’ internet behavior and addiction. 3.The more often Taitung county elementary higher-grade students had internet behavior led to the higher internet addiction. 4.“Improper use” was the main predictor. It showed that more improper uses caused the higher tendencies of internet addiction. Finally, on the basis of the data analysis, research findings and discussions, the researcher summarized the conclusions and gave the suggestions for parents and schools better understanding the internet behavior and addiction of the Taitung county elementary higher-grade students.
