Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 101 === Abstract The study aims to investigate the current status of the work pressure and leisure behavior of elementary school teachers in Pingtung County. The study would employ questionnaire investigation, using stratified random sampling to select samples. The subjects are elementary school teachers in Pingtung County.The research tool is “Questionnaire on Work Pressure and Leisure Behavior of Elementary School Teachers in Pingtung County”. 576 copies of the questionnaire are distributed, with 548 valid copies retrieved. The rate of valid retrieval is 95.1%.The data are analyzed by SPSS 12.0 Statics Software, adopting Descriptive Statics, t-test, Single-factor Analysis of Variance, Pearson Product-moment for study. The following conclusions are made and summarized based on the results as : 1.The work pressure of elementary school teachers in Pingtung is considered medium low. Teachers don’t show strong sensitivity toward all of the work pressure aspects. Among the work pressure aspects, teachers present the strongest sensitivity toward the pressure of work load than the other aspects. 2.The participation of leisure behavior of elementary school teachers in Pingtung County is considered medium high. It is found that “family activity mode” presents the most participation while “skill/hobby mode” presents the least. As for the other aspects of participation, they are ranked from the most to the least as ”recreational mode”, “knowledge mode”, “social service mode” and “sport mode”. During the three periods of weekends, winter vacation and summer vacation, the aspects of participation are ranked equally from the most to the least as ”recreational mode”, “family activity mode”, “knowledge mode”, “sport mode” “social service mode” and “skill/hobby mode”. 3.According to diverse background variables, the results of work pressure are as follows: (1)Non-significant difference of work pressure are found from variables of gender, age, years of teaching, marriage status, the location of school, (2)As for the aspect of administrative support, homeroom teachers show more pressure; as for the aspect of work load, teachers also acting as section chief show more pressure. 4.According to diverse background variables, the results of leisure behavior are as follows: (1)Male teachers get involved in “sport mode” more than female teachers; female teachers get involved in “knowledge mode” and “family activity”. (2)Teachers whose ages are above 51 get involved in “skill/hobby mode more than those whose ages are ranged from 41 to 50. (3)Teachers also acting as directors get involved in “sport mode’ more than homeroom teachers. (4)Married teachers get involved in “family activity mode” more than unmarried teachers; unmarried teachers get involved in “social service mode” more than married teachers. (5)Non-significant differences are found from variables of years of teaching and location of school. 5.The weak negative correlation between work pressure and leisure behavior is found for elementary school teachers in Pingtung County.
