Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 統計學系 === 101 === The purpose of this study was to design a more effective teaching method than the traditional didactic instruction method for the correlation coefficient subject of high school mathematics course. The designed method was based on inquiry teaching method and computer-assisted teaching. Four classes of students were chosen from a public high school in Taipei. Two classes was designed as the experimental group, and the other two as the control group. After the experimental teaching, an evaluation of the learning effect was held. Then the teaching effect of two groups of students was compared based on the learning effects. Results of this research are described as follow. The learning effects of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group at level =0.05 on all attributes related to conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge, and applying conceptual and knowledgeable reasoning to solve the problems. As a whole, the students of experimental group who accepted the experimental teaching method had better learning effects than those of control group. Therefore, the designed teaching method is worth popularizing and utilizing.
