The results were as follows: 1.The child with high-functioning autism was involved in six social play types, and most often participate in “associative play”. 2.The child with high-functioning autism initiated play interactions more frequent than peers or researcher, but displayed more inappropriate behaviors and her behavior intentions were often not awared by peers. 3.In free play settings, the child with high-functioning autism most often involved in activities with playground equipments by herself. 4.The child with high-functioning autism encountered difficulties in free-play settings was affected by characteristics of autism and the environments.
