There are four specific research purposes: first, understanding actual situation of elementary school students’ perceived teachers’ teaching behaviors about reading instruction and students’ reading attitudes; second, analysis of different background regarding variables elementary school students perceived teachers’ teaching behaviors about reading instruction and students’ reading attitudes under different circumstances; third, explore the relationships between elementary school students’ perceived teachers’ teaching behaviors about reading instruction and students’ reading attitudes; finally, inquire into the prediction to reading attitudes of elementary school students’ by their perception of teachers’ teaching behaviors about reading instruction. This study employed questionnaires along with study objects from the fourth grade students of an elementary school in Taoyuan county. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, independent-samples t test, one-way ANOVA, a posteriori comparisons, Pearson’s product moment correlation, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Elementary school students’ perception teachers’ teaching behaviors about reading instruction is favorable. 2. Elementary school students generally have good reading attitudes. 3. Gender and family social-economic status and the school area significantly affect the elementary school students’ perceived teachers’ teaching behaviors about reading instruction. 4. The students of different gender have significant differences in reading attitudes. Family social-economic status and the school area do not significantly affect the students’ reading attitudes. 5. There is a positive correlation between students’ perceived teachers’ teaching behaviors about reading instruction and students’ reading attitudes. 6. Elementary school students’ perceived teachers’ teaching behaviors about reading instruction can be a factor in predicting the results of the students’ reading attitudes. Finally, based on the findings of this study, several suggestions for teachers, parents and researchers are described and discussed. Yung-Ho Huang 黃永和 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 110 zh-TW
