In a new environment, our ancestors were oppressed psychologically due to politics, economy, natural environment, tribes and other unstable social elements. Hence, people at that time prayed for the protection in temples, expect to sooth the uneasiness inside. Nothing can express the importance of the temples, Gods and religious belief to Han people in Taiwan during the period of agricultural shift. In modern time, with the economical development in Taiwan, the number of temples has been increasing. The religious rituals in Temples have been passed from generation to generation and have become part of the traditional culture and life in Taiwan. Ciyou Temple has a history of one hundred year. It witnessed the difficult period of agricultural shift of our ancestors. It is closely related to the local development and has become a history of Xinzhuang, a historical site and the performance center displaying religious rituals. This study utilized historical literature as the foundation of analysis and field investigation was applied to explore the development track of Xinzhuang and Ciyou Temple. The Construction of Ciyou, the ethnic culture at hometown reflected by the antiques were analyzed, the specialty of Xingzhuang history was explored. The origin of Gods worshipped in Ciyou Temple was explored to reflect the civil religious spirit and situation in Taiwan. The religious rituals were recorded to display the interaction between Ciyou temple and Xinzhuang community. Finally, How the Management Committee of Ciyou Temple responds to the progress of the society through multiple management and concept was studied, the modern style of Ciyou was displayed.
