The available samples were 215.Based on the family resource theory and the ecological systems theory, the independent variable was family resources, extracurricular reading behavior and learning attitudes were intervening variables, and the dependent variable were academic achievements of non-instrumental subjects, academic achievements of instrumental subjects and academic achievements. The data were analyzed methods including descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and the structural equation modeling analysis. The conclusions were as following: 1.Majority of new immigrant children had plentiful family resources and good learning attitude as well. 2. New immigrant students’ family resources had positive influences on extracurricular reading behavior and learning attitudes, furthermore, new immigrant students’ learning attitudes had positive influences on their academic achievements. 3. New immigrant students’ extracurricular reading behavior and learning attitudes had mediating effects between family resources and academic achievements of non-instrumental subjects and academic achievements. 4. New immigrant students’ extracurricular reading behavior and learning attitudes had different effects between academic achievements of non-instrumental subjects and instrumental subjects. Finally, reviewing the outcomes of the study, and then propose some suggestions for government organizations, teachers of junior high schools, students’ family and further studies.
