碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 語文與創作學系碩士班 === 101 === Due to the interaction of issues such as social change, a new century of globalization, informatization, and ecodevelopment and sustainable development and their impact on the tourism and travel industry, travel poetry has gradually turned into a mainstream literary genre. This study provides an overall analysis of modern Taiwanese travel poetry from 2000 until today. The discussion starts from the changing face of Taiwanese tourism and the large variety of topics covered by travel poetry in the new century. The author then proceeds to explore the latest tendencies of travel poetry underneath the pulse of society, the special character of the portrayal of the landscape and this era and the connection with the inner nature of the poet as well as contemporary cultural trends reflected in the poems. The actual content and expression methods of the travel poems are analyzed to gain deeper insight into the geographical location and life circumstances of the poet during the creative process of writing poetry as well as the temporal changes and cultural memories that are reflected in the poems.
