Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 101 === Gua-Kang Puppetry, a reinterpreted performance art, assimilates the performing culture of Shanghai Beijing Opera. During the Japanese colonial period, a huge number of Chinese Shanghai Beijing opera troupes had poured to Taiwan, and brought a burst of Chinese opera in Taiwanese society. Meanwhile, Hsiao His Yuan Puppet Theater reedited the list of operas after incorporating the content of Shanghai Beijing opera and performed as puppet drama. The puppet drama responded with praises all around Taiwan especially the “Gǔchéng Shundi", which wined first places in both province drama contest in 1964 and Taiwam regional drama contest in 1978. The thesis is based on “A Study of Hsiao His Yuan, “Gǔchéng Shundi", “Gua-Kang” Puppet Music."It includes the discussion of the original resources of Gua-Kang, the study on puppet development, Hsiao His Yuan and Gua-Kang puppets, and the analysis of scripts and music of ”Gǔchéng Shundi”. The author also explores and examines contents according to themes, story plots, roles, singing tones, tunes, and percussion of scripts in order to understand the expression of episodes and music. Last but not the least, from “A Study of Hsiao His Yuan, ”Gǔchéng Shundi", “Gua-Kang” Puppet Music.", the author aims to preserve not only the scripts and profound puppet music culture but make an effort to pass down the inheritance of performing art.
