Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 環境生物與漁業科學學系 === 101 === This study is aimed at comprehending the current teaching situation and the factor possibly influenced on the learning performance and satisfaction of swimming skill of the elementary school children in Keelung City. The questionnaire survey at random sampling methods was used to get the valuable data collected from 760 students at five and six graders of the 23 public elementary schools in Keelung. The data is processed in the manner of descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, and percentile rank) and statistics such as one-way ANOVA analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and so on. The results were shown as following:
1. 23 out of 25 questions were adopted for evaluating the learning satisfaction of children on swimming education in the elementary schools of Keelung City after validity of pretest analysis. Four factor catalogs including learning perception, teaching methodology, lecturing time and swimming facilities are subsequently important key factors for swimming satisfaction of children to learning in school.
2. 18 out of 19 questions were adopted for assessing the learning performance of children on swimming education in the elementary schools after validity of pretest analysis. Three factor catalogs including learning emotion, cognition and skill are subsequently important key factors for learning performance of children in school.
3. The swimming education was significantly promoted in Keelung as the marine education policy was performed in Keelung City since 2008. 81.4% of students were satisfactory to the learning activities and methodology among the students in higher grades of elementary schools enhanced obviously, However, there are still parts of them were not interested in learning swimming since rare facilities will restrict the multi-methodology excluded from the physical education.
4. Among the variables for learning influence of students in higher grades of elementary schools in Keelung City, 69.3% students had reached to the basic skill of swimming performance of 15m interdentally. Meanwhile, girls showed higher ability in cognition factor than boys, while students at 5th grade had higher ability in emotion than those at 6th grade students. The equipment for swimming education is generally insufficient to impact on the emotion and cognition of students to participate in learning swimming performance, and then the swimming skill of the learning performance was kept at low level.
