Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 航運管理學系 === 101 === It has been only six years from charter flights to schedule flights between China and Taiwan. The volume of weekly flights from 135 flights in 2003 increased to 388 flights in 2012, which is the fast growth in the Cross Strait market over the past 60 years. Currently, the totality of airports in the Cross Strait market is more than reached 47, and the direct flights network covers near 90% in China. The supply chain between China and Taiwan has a special interactive relationship between competition and cooperation. According to our analysis, Taiwan had not got the benefit from cross strait direct links, therefore it is worth to further explore the competitive advantages from the perspectives of China and Taiwan. This thesis choose 14 major airlines in China and Taiwan as DMU:China Airlines(CI), EVA Airways(BR), Mandarin Airlines(AE), UNI Air(B7), TransAsia Airways(AE), Air China (CA), China Eastern Airline(MU), China Southern Airline(CZ), Hainan Airlines(HU), Xiaman Air(MF), Shenzhen Airlines(ZH), Shanghai Airlines(FM), Sichuan Airlines(3U), Shandong Airlines(SC). Based on the data collected from 2010-2012, the data envelopment analysis (DEA) is utilized to measure the effectiveness and sensitivity level of various airline companies and different variables analysis. It can help us to find the efficiency of product of each DMU. In addition, the Malmquist productivity index (MPI) of each DMU is also calculated to identify their inter-temporal efficiency of each DMU.
