Reinforced concrete structures exposed to this climate zone are often subjected to the permeability of surface water or underground water so that the moisture contents are high in most concretes. The aggressive ingredients would enter concrete with water and dissolve the hydration products, thus increase the total pore volume or the connection of pores and enhance the corrosion potential of steel reinforcement. The volume of corrosion products is much larger than the original rebar would induce much internal stress and result in cracking, scaling and spalling of concrete surface. This aim of this research is to study the service life assessment and prediction of remaining service life in chloride ion content and the diffusion rate of existing building, using the measured compressive strength anti ascertaining cement ratio, then put the cement ratio and other parameters into the model to predicted chloride ion diffusion coefficient. Finally, chloride ion average concentration of discrepancies in the actual specimens to calculated the initial concentration of the surface. Case study will be provided for demonstration or verification, the results showed that chloride ion content of more cases indeed its remaining service life is shorter.
