In addition, this study also attempted to investigate the relationship between the sources and forms of the staff’s social support and their well-being. This study used a cross-sectional survey research design. Five hundred and twenty student affairs staff were selected from twenty-two colleges in northern Taiwan. The data were collected using the “Questionnaire of the well-being and social support of college student affairs staff in northern Taiwan.” A total of 452 responses were received and among them 412 were valid. The valid response rate was 79.2%. Reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, one-sample t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient were conducted to analyze the data using IBM SPSS 20.0 for windows. The major findings are listed as followings: I.The well-being of college student affairs staff in northern Taiwan are significantly above theoretical average. II.The student affairs staff who have been worked for 4-9 years, hold an associate degree or bellow, supervisors, or official employees exhibit a significant higher level of well-being. III.The more social supports the college student affairs staff of northern Taiwan have, the higher well-being they possess. IV.The well-being of the college student affairs staff is positively correlated with the various sources (i.e. family, colleague, chief and student) of their social support. V.The well-being of the college student affairs staff is also positively correlated with the various forms (i.e. emotion, instrument and information) of their social support. Based on the results, suggestions for institutions, student affairs staff and future researchers were proposed. Show-Mann Liou 劉秀嫚 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 128 zh-TW
