To under¬stand the content of non-cognitive skills in Taiwan, this study uses confirmatory fac¬tor analysis (CFA) and path analysis with latent variable (PA-LV) of structural equation model (SEM) to analyze the data from Taiwan Education Panel Survey (TEPS). Major results of the study are followed: First, the content of non-cognitive skills include "Rule Obeying", "Industry and Effort" and "Reasoning" dimensions. Second, the non-cognitive skills are independent of demographic statistics variables. Third, only "Rule Obeying" and "Industry and Effort" factors have the significant positive effect on junior high school students' academic achievement.
